Hello all!
First I would like to send a shout out to our parent volunteers, Thank you for coming along and helping our students enjoy a safe learning experience! We had an excellent day despite the turn in the weather. The walk to the Agrium center was uneventful, and all of our students asked astute questions of the Journey 2050 staff, demonstrating both student's interest and engagement in the field study. Students were respectful of the presenters and the space, and learned much about how we will have to start changing our thinking in order to support Earth's population by the year 2050. Our work today has been focused on debriefing from the experience, and learning how to take the rough notes we collected at the experience and refine them into study notes we can use for the future. This work has been done in our field journals. All in all, I think our first field study of the 2017/18 school year was a successful and enjoyable learning experience, and has really set the tone for our coming year! Signed, Matthew Barron-MacFadden
